Hello! And Welcome to Briars House

It’s here! After months of tweaking and a healthy amount of overthinking, the Briars House website is officially live! I’m so glad you found your way here.

My first pattern, the Davida Quilt, is launching soon! This one means a lot to me. I first designed the Davida Quilt back in 2021 without any idea it would eventually lead me down the road of pattern design. At the time, sharing my work in this way felt like a far-off idea. I toyed with the idea for a long time, but not until recently did I find the confidence, stop making excuses, and decided to just go for it! A lot of that came from the encouragement of an incredibly supportive quilting community and many kind nudges.

The Davida Quilt is a quick make that packs a punch. Bold, geometric, and full of intention. It's approachable for confident beginners, with plenty of space to explore colors in a way that feels fresh. If you love quilts that make a statement and are fun to sew, I think you're going to love this one.

Equally as important, it's summer! Which, if you know me, means I’m probably outside. I wait all year for this season, and when it hits, I want to soak up every minute of it: camping, going to the beach, gardening, backyard dinners, and slow mornings with my coffee and a quilt. There’s something about summer that makes everything feel more possible and launching this site right now just felt right.

Thanks for being here at the beginning. I’ve got more patterns in the works and a lot I want to share. But for now, I'm celebrating this moment and the start of something new!
